ISACS accreditation services ensure that schools meet ISACS standards, guide schools through a process of self-reflection, examine the fit between a school's stated mission and actual program implementation, and establish a thorough process for school improvement.

ISACS provides a wide variety of professional development programs for our membership. Administrators and teachers consistently rate our conferences—including the Annual Conference, Heads Conference, Leadership Academy, and New Teacher Institute—as defining professional experiences. We also offer topic-specific workshops and convenient webinars.

In addition to these benefits, ISACS staff members provide facilitated conversations with member schools on topics of governance, accreditation, and other areas. Members also have access to the National Association of Independent Schools’ DASL tool for data reporting and benchmarking; monthly bulletins from the ISACS Executive Director to member school heads including trends, recommended reading, and coming events; and the ISACS Career Center.

Member School Directory

ISACS offers two school Membership Categories:

ISACS Accredited Member School Independent schools within ISACS region of the Midwest that meet membership standards and that have successfully completed the accreditation process are Full Members. Schools must be incorporated not-for-profit and offer elementary and/or secondary grades.

ISACS Accredited Member School Independent schools within ISACS region of the Midwest that have successfully operated for a minimum of three consecutive years and have exhibited compliance with standards for membership, but have not yet been completed the full accreditation process are Provisional Members.

Other school relationships with ISACS include:

New Schools operating fewer than three years may receive ISACS services. After three years of successful operation, New Schools are required to submit documentation in application for Provisional Membership.

Affiliates shall be educational institutions or organizations concerned directly or indirectly with independent education but not qualifying for accreditation through ISACS.
